We are actively strengthening the strategic market position of our Necarex business unit. This important business unit supplies installation materials (electrical, plumbing and HVAC), construction and infrastructure materials, energy and water supply products, industrial components, and medical and laboratory products to Suriname and the former Dutch Caribbean islands. Our customers include installation contractors, construction companies, utilities, telecommunications companies, healthcare institutions, laboratories and industrial organizations. EXPORT SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

CHARACTERISTICS: export / technology / commerce / procurement

EXPERIENCE: sales support / procurement / technical assortments

KEY CUSTOMERS: installers, wholesalers, industry, utilities, healthcare institutions, laboratories

KEY AREAS: Suriname / (former) Dutch Antilles

YOU ARE: communicative, service oriented, collegiate, open minded, eager to learn, fluent in Dutch and English, technically inclined

WHAT WE OFFER

  • a challenging and interesting full time export sales support position within a professional international trading company, offering a unique combination of sales and procurement responsibilities. You will assist and support our International Account Managers.
  • your main focus in this role is on independently preparing quotations and project proposals for a wide variety of customers and technical product groups. You interpret technical enquiries and customer specifications and you identify suitable products and suppliers worldwide when products are not readily available (international sourcing).
  • you evaluate supplier quotations and technical specifications, and clarify technical and commercial details where needed. You negotiate commercial terms and place purchase orders.
  • you maintain daily contact with international customers, suppliers and colleagues in Sales, Logistics and Finance.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR NEW COLLEAGUE

  • your technical insight is well developed, you have good commercial feeling and you are service oriented. You enjoy the dynamics of international trading and commercial negotiations.
  • you thrive in a central coordinating and technical-commercial role and enjoy being the link between customers, suppliers and internal departments. You can work independently, even under pressure, while maintaining an overview and setting the right priorities.
  • you like to take ownership of the complete commercial process, from customer enquiry and supplier sourcing to quotation, purchasing and order follow-up.
  • you have relevant working experience gained in an sales support department or procurement position. You preferable have also some experience in preparing technical quotations, enquiries and/or tenders.
  • you feel at home in a very international, dynamic and technical trading environment, where sales and procurement merge seamlessly into viable technical and commercial solutions.
  • you have an education at professional and/or Bachelor level (Dutch HBO) and you have a professional fluency in both Dutch and English.
  • you are a reliable, positive team player who – just like us – enjoys working closely with colleagues in an international environment.
